James Bond: Latest odds on who will replace Daniel Craig as Bond | Films | Entertainment

For months, Tom Hardy has been top of the list – with the best chances of landing the role of Bond, James Bond.

As movies come into the spotlight and fade again, these odds have fluctuated.

New faces have been added, and old ones have been dropped.

In a surprise shift, a middling name has shot to the top of the list, unseating Hardy.

The man with the best odds of taking over the role from Daniel Craig is now Tom Hiddleston.

Hiddleston is a national treasure, beloved by fans for his portrayal of Loki in the Marvel movies.

Idris Elba is still in second place, despite vehemently denying he was slated to take over as Bond.

This leaves Tom Hardy in third place, according to Oddschecker.

Here is the list of the top 10 contenders.

Tom Hiddleston

Idris Elba

Tom Hardy

Any female

Henry Cavill

Richard Madden

Cillian Murphy

Taylor Kitsch

Aidan Turner

Michael Fassbender

Any female remains on the list despite Bond’s producer Barabara Brocolli explicitly saying the franchise would not have a female Bond.

Henry Cavill aka Superman has recently enjoyed success in the sixth Mission Impossible movie, proving he can be just as heroic as a regular human.

Richard Madden’s spot has been buoyed by his recently acclaimed performance in the BBC Drama Bodyguard.

Cillian Murphy was most recently spotted on the big screen in Dunkirk and has upcoming roles in The Delinquent Season as Jim and Luc Besson’s Anna.

Aidan Turner is best known as portraying the angsty Cornwallian Ross Poldark.

In tenth place on the list is Michael Fassbender, whose roles have run the gamut from Magneto in the X-Men franchise to Macbeth.

Daniel Craig still has one movie left in him as James Bond in the as of yet untitled Bond 25.

Bond 25 is out in cinemas February 14, 2020, so Bond 26 is a long ways away
